Position Overview

The Sales Manager will build, lead, and scale the MTHS sales department. This role oversees both inside and outside sales teams, ensuring that marketing-generated seller leads are consistently converted into qualified appointments, signed contracts, and profitable deals.

This is a highly hands-on, in-office leadership role. It is not passive management. You will coach in real time, run the operating rhythm, improve conversion throughout the funnel, and build a culture of accountability, discipline, and performance.

This role requires prior experience managing a setter/closer sales team with clear KPI accountability.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and develop a current team of 8 salespeople, including 4 inside sales Lead Managers and 4 outside sales Acquisitions Agents, with the opportunity to scale the department to 15+ team members over time
  • Innovate, train, audit, and solve the evolving challenges that come with a growing sales organization
  • Own performance across the full sales funnel, including:
  • Lead response speed
  • Contact rate
  • Appointment set rate
  • Appointment held rate
  • Contract conversion
  • Revenue and profit per deal
  • Pipeline forecast accuracy
  • Run the sales operating rhythm, including:
  • Daily huddles
  • Weekly KPI reviews
  • Weekly 1:1s
  • Monthly evaluations
  • Coaching sessions
  • Role play and training
  • Pipeline and forecast reviews
  • Improve handoff quality from Lead Managers to Acquisitions Agents to the Transactions Department
  • Establish and enforce standards around:
  • Sales process and approach
  • Trust-building and discovery
  • Qualification and disqualification
  • CRM hygiene
  • Follow-up discipline
  • Calendar management
  • Objection handling
  • Closing for next steps
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and retain top sales talent
  • Lead by example by jumping into leads, appointments, and closing when needed
  • Execute T/O calls as needed to move deals through 
  • Hold the team accountable with clarity, consistency, and professionalism
  • Partner with leadership on forecasting, staffing, and funnel performance
  • Provide feedback to marketing on lead quality and campaign performance

What You Bring

  • Proven experience leading sales teams in one or more of the following:
  • Direct-to-consumer or direct-response sales
  • Real estate acquisitions
  • Solar, roofing, home services, mortgage, or similar setter/closer environments
  • Strong KPI ownership and pipeline management experience
  • Ability to coach discovery, qualification, objection handling, and closing
  • Experience managing setters and closers
  • High accountability and comfort having difficult performance conversations
  • Strong organizational and operational leadership skills
  • Ability to forecast, analyze, and drive results
  • High emotional intelligence and leadership presence
  • Competitive, results-driven, builder mentality
